Jack M. Crews, Sr.

MR. JACK M. CREWS, SR. Mr. Jack M. Crews, Sr., 86, of Hogansville, passed away Friday, September 12, 2014, at Hospice LaGrange. Mr. Crews was born February 6, 1928, in Carroll County, son of the late Olin Purn Crews and Fannie Ruth Boswell Crews Coleman. A resident of Hogansville most of his life, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War Two and a member of Union Baptist Church in St. Marks. Survivors include his son, Jack Crews, Jr. and his wife, Carol, of Hogansville; sister, LaRose Surowic of Hogansville; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Lancaster Crews; daughter Tracie Norton; sons, Michael Crews and Randall Crews; grandsons, Gene Crews and Jeremy Norton; and great-grandson, Cameron Adams. The family is honoring the wishes of Mr. Crews that no service be conducted. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
