J. C. Daniel

Mr. J. C. Daniel, 90, of Hogansville, passed away Monday, July 10, 2017, at LaGrange Nursing and Rehabiltation. Mr. Daniel was born September 8, 1926, in Meriwether County, son of the late Stark Ellis Daniel and Nell Denney Daniel. A veteran of service in the U.S. Army, he was a lifelong resident of Hogansville, was Baptist by faith, and retired from Uniroyal/Dominion, Inc. He was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a life member of Hogansville Masonic Lodge #93. Survivors include his daughter and son in-law, Nancy and Jimmy Pye of Hogansville; son and daughter in-law, Tom and Lynn Daniel of Atlanta; brother, Alfred Daniel of Lone Oak; grandchildren, Leslie and Dan Grabensteder, Corbet and Patricia Daniel; and great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Grabensteder, Baylee Grabensteder, Sophia Daniel and Brenna Daniel. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 12, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Woody Woodard will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Tuesday night. Memorial contributions may be made to Living Waters Baptist Church in LaGrange. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
