MRS. ISABEL PLANT
Mrs. Isabel Zamarron Plant, 82, of McDonough, went to be with her Lord, Tuesday, March 4, 2014.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 8, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Dan Bremer and the Reverend Candy Thacker will officiate and interment will be in the Luthersville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Saturday.
Mrs. Plant was born June 11, 1931, in Mt. Morris, Michigan, daughter of the late Aurelio and Sipriana Zamarron. She married Robert Milton Plant on August 8, 1959, was employed by the State of Georgia for many years prior to her retirement, and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Stockbridge. Isabel enjoyed playing the piano and organ and listening to music, and also loved gardening and sewing. Most of all, she enjoyed quilting with her friend, Bertie.
Survivors include her husband, Milton Plant of McDonough; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Journey Hospice, 138 Peach Rd., McDonough, GA 30253.
