Irene Hawk Whitley

MRS. IRENE HAWK WHITLEY Mrs. Irene Hawk Whitley, 69, of LaGrange, died Saturday, March 27, 2010, at Hospice LaGrange. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 29, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Willis Bailes will officiate and interment will be in the Corinth Cemetery. Mrs. Whitley was born September 1, 1940, in Heard County, daughter of the late Clifford and Gladys Moore Hawk. A resident of LaGrange most of her life, she retired from McDonald's and was a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include her sisters, Betty Ann Brown of LaGrange and Virginia Vessell of Hogansville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Sunday night, March 28th, at Claude A.
