MRS. IRENE A. KNIGHT Mrs. Irene Ashley Knight, 90, of LaGrange, died Friday, April 16, 2010, at Hospice LaGrange. A memorial service will be conducted at 4:30 p.m., Sunday, April 18, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Billy McCollough will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Knight was born September 10, 1919, in Heard County, daughter of the late Fletcher B. Ashley and the late Addie Eunice Ashley. A former resident of Hogansville and California, she had lived in LaGrange since 1979, was a member of Concord Baptist Church, and was the wife of the late George W. Knight. Survivors include her daughter and son in-law, Vivian and Bobby Upchurch of LaGrange; daughter in-law, Perline Woodruff of Jacksonville, FL; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Larry Woodruff. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Services: 4:30 p.m., Sunday, April 18th, in the Chapel of Claude A.
