MRS. IRENE L. CROUCH
Mrs. Irene Looney Crouch, 89, of LaGrange, died Thursday, March 27, 2008, at Twin Fountains Home.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 29, at the graveside in Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange, with the Reverend Benjie Dukes and Dr. Charles Chapman officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 until 9 Friday night.
Born August 10, 1918, Mrs. Crouch was the daughter of the late Will and Nina Bridges Looney and was a lifelong resident of LaGrange, having been raised in the Dunson Mill village. She retired from the Dunson Division of West Point Pepperell, was a member of Faith Baptist Church, and was a homemaker and an avid gardener.
Survivors include two grandchildren, Jeanette and Wayne Scott and Jeff Crouch; great-grandsons, Anthony Gay, Tyler and Meagan Bennett, Randall Scott, Amanda Scott, Brittney Scott, Holly Norris, and Zack Norris; great-great-grandchildren, Jersie Bennett and Kolin Barber; daughter in-law, Alice Jackson; and adopted grandsons, Justin Skipper and Randy Bowen, all of LaGrange. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roswell Crouch, Sr; son, Roswell (Junebug) Crouch, Jr.; sister, Ruby Herb; brothers, Ed Looney, Andrew Looney and Ronald (Sug) Looney; and a granddaughter, Melanie Smith.
The Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
