MRS. IRA W. KENT

Mrs. Ira Westbrook Kent, 86, of Gay, passed away, Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Born on July 24, 1936, in Mississippi, Mrs. Kent was the daughter of the late Elijah and Maude Lasseter Westbrook. She was a resident of Georgia for the past 34 years and was a devoted homemaker to her family. Mrs. Kent was a member of Luthersville Baptist Church, enjoyed planting flowers and working in her yard, and taking care of her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Kent of Gay; sons and daughters in-law, Darren Keith Wrotten of McComb, MS, Chuck and Elaine Guy of Huntington, TX, Jason and Stephanie Kent of Concord; sister, Frances Varnado of McComb, MS; and six grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 29, at Luthersville Baptist Church with the Reverend John Pape officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church from 10 until 11 Saturday morning.
