MRS. IONA S. ROGERS

Mrs. Iona S. Rogers, 91 of Hogansville, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024 at Eternal Hope Hospice in Griffin.

Born April 5, 1933 in Randolph County, Alabama, Mrs. Rogers was the daughter of the late George Taylor Smith and Katie Brown Smith Daniel. She lived most of her life in the LaGrange and Hogansville area, enjoyed doing yard work, and working around her house.

Survivors include her daughter and son in-law, Sheila and Charlie Austin of Jonesboro; two grandchildren, Melissa Bennett of McDonough and Daphne Lewis of Alexandria, KY; three great-grandchildren, Savannah Wilkerson, Jesse Bennett, and Wyatt Lewis; and a great-great-grandson, Bo Wilkerson. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her husband, Randall Rogers, Sr.; her first husband Arthur Hubbard; and her daughter, Janice Baczo.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 30, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Randall Hodge will officiate and interment will be in Hillview East Cemetery in LaGrange.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 until 2 Monday afternoon.
