Ina Clark Scheer

Mrs. Ina Clark Scheer, 88, of Newnan, passed away Monday, October 24, 2016, at Christian City Sparks Inn Assisted Living in Union City. Mrs. Scheer was born October 3, 1928, in Jasper, daughter of the late Freeman and Ella Champion Padgett. She lived in Coweta and Heard counties most of her life and retired from Newnan Hospital after more than 20 years of service as a nurse. She enjoyed flower gardening and quilting, and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Newnan, where she was a member of the Joy Sunday School Class. Mrs. Scheer is survived by her children, Eddie Clark and his wife Linda of Douglasville, Kristy Loy of Whitesburg, Jackie Jackson of Wrightsville, Jody Yohn and her husband Tom of Hoschton, Milley Clark of Freeport, FL, and Dena Swartz of Gulf Shores, AL; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas Clark and Charlie Scheer; by her daughters, Trina Clark and Sandra Turnipseed; and all fourteen of her siblings. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 28, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend John Riley and the Reverend Doug Bearden will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Thursday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
