MRS. IMOGENE M. COOK Mrs. Imogene McWhorter Cook, 82 of the Rocky Mount Community of Meriwether County, died Sunday, May 11, 2014, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. Born April 9, 1932 in Cleburne County, Alabama, Mrs. Cook was the daughter of the late Luther and I. V. McWhorter. She was a homemaker, a member of Bethel Baptist Church, and had lived in the Rocky Mount Community since 1995. Survivors include her husband, Eugene Cook of Rocky Mount; daughter, Anita Cook of Athens; son, Mike Cook of Jonesboro; and two brothers, David McWhorter and Johnny McWhorter, both of Tallapoosa. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 14, at Bethel Baptist Church in the Rocky Mount Community of Meriwether County. The Reverend Sam Fordham will officiate and interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 7 Tuesday Night.
