MRS. IDA L. HAMMOCK
Mrs. Ida L. Hammock, 75, of LaGrange, died Tuesday, January 27, 2009, at her home.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 29, at the graveside in the Mountville Cemetery, with the Reverend James Moon officiating.
Born September 17, 1933, in Meriwether county, Mrs. Hammock was the daughter of the late Oliver and Relia Groce Pitts. She lived in Greenville most of her life before making her home in LaGrange ten years ago, was a member of the Baptist church, and retired as a bus driver from the Meriwether School System. She was the wife of the late Hulet C. Hammock.
Survivors include her daughter, Alice Hammock and Michael Moore, of LaGrange; son, Henry Hammock of Corinth; sister, Jessie Knotwell of Fordland, MO; brother, Render Pitts of Senoia; grandchildren, Adam Singleton, Brian Singleton, Vicki Weaver, and Michael Hammock; and great-grandchildren, Brandon McCain, Victoria Meyers, Sydney Weaver, Addison Weaver, Brooklyn Singleton, Austin Singleton, Travis Singleton, Brian Singleton, and Austin Singleton.
The Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation: from 6 until 8 Wednesday night, January 28th
Services: 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 29th, at the graveside in the Mountville Cemetery
Interment: Mountville Cemetery
