Hugh Rollins Nash

June 7, 1958 — November 12, 2023

Mr. Hugh Rollins Nash, 65, of Grantville, lost his battle with cancer and passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Sacred Journey Hospice in Newnan

Born June 7, 1958, in the old Newnan Hospital, Mr. Nash was a lifelong resident of Grantville and a 1977 graduate of Newnan High School. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Grantville and later a member of The Miracle Tabernacle Family Worship Center.

What started out as a floral hobby at their kitchen table, Hugh and his first wife, Jan, turned it into a local Grantville business – Nash Florist. Hugh enjoyed creating art though flowers for his community, family, and friends as a way of sharing happiness. He will always be remembered as Mr. Christmas during the holiday season.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Milner Nash; mother, June McCollum Nash, both of Grantville; and brother, Dennis Scott Nash of Sharpsburg. He was preceded in death by his beloved first wife, Jan Connally Nash, and father, Robert Eugene Nash.

The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 14, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Winston Skinner and the Reverend Todd Slade will officiate and interment will be in Grantville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers and food, the family asks that donations be made in Hugh's memory to Meals on Wheels of Coweta, 30 Bledsoe Rd, Newnan, GA 30265 or on their website at www.mealsonwheelscoweta.org
