Mr. Huell Stephens, 84, of Hogansville, passed away Friday, March 11, 2022, at Hospice LaGrange.
Mr. Stephens was born December 6, 1937, in Ephesus, son of the late Mirrie Neal Stephens and Sara Henrietta Williams Stephens. A veteran of service in the U.S. Navy, he lived in Hogansville most of his life and owned and operated Hogansville Farmers Supply and Hardware for many years prior to his retirement. Mr. Stephens was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church of Hogansville, was a former member of Hogansville Lions Club, and enjoyed cattle farming and gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Marguerite Stephens; daughter and son in-law, Sandy and Scott Odom; grandson, Nathan Odom, all of Hogansville; sisters and brother in-law, Earlene Sorrells of Cedartown, Wanda and Michael Hall of Columbus; brother and sister in-law, Hollis and Norma Stephens of San Antonio, Texas; sisters in-law, Elaine Stephens of McDonough, Faye Stephens of Roanoke, Alabama; and brother in-law, Delano Keheley of Lakemont.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 14, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with Pastor Greg Morris officiating. Interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Monday.
