Hubert Howell

MR. HUBERT HOWELL Mr. Hubert Howell, 75, of Newnan and formerly of Hogansville, died Thursday, March 8, 2012, at his home. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, March 11, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Brad Thompson and the Reverend Bruce Freeman will officiate and interment will be in the Corinth Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Saturday night. Mr. Howell was born May 22, 1936, in Chambers County, Alabama, son of the late Grover and Alma Patterson Howell. A veteran of service in the U. S. Army, he owned and managed Genuine Motor Parts in Newnan for more than 20 years and retired as parts manager for Hubbard and Spinks Garage in Hogansville. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in LaGrange and was a former deacon and member of Corinth Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Doris Howell; sons and daughters in-law, Dwayne and Julia Howell, Doyle and Donna Howell; grandchildren, Justin Howell, Chad Howell, Miranda Howell and Lindsey Howell, all of Newnan; sisters, Lottie Nolen of Lanett, AL and Evelyn Harris of Dothan, AL; and several nieces and nephews, including Linda Hodge of Five Points, AL. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Saturday night, March 10th, at Claude A.
