Mr. Levi Flournoy, 62, of Moreland, passed away, Sunday, January 26, 2020, at his home.
Mr. Flournoy was born May 15, 1957, in Newnan, son of the late Reverend Hubert James Flournoy and Reba Bradbury Flournoy. He achieved the rank of Sergeant while serving eight years in the U.S. Army, and then owned and operated a real estate business in Coweta County. A member of Westside Baptist Church in Newnan, he was a good Christian, was a member of Gideons International, and loved to witness and pray for others. Levi loved to visit the gym, to fish, to visit the mountains and snow-ski, and to take his grandchildren to amusement parks.
Survivors include his wife, Toon Flournoy of Moreland; daughter, Sandy Vongdasy of Los Angeles, CA; son, Timothy John Flournoy and his wife Kayla of Luthersville; grandchildren, Mayson Williams, Haylo Williams, Sydney Flournoy, and Bodhi Flournoy; sister, Sandra and Donald Johnson; and brother, Randy and Lynn Flournoy, all of Greenville; and many loving nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 31, at Westside Baptist Church in Newnan. The Reverend Alton Midgett, Jr. and Dr. Melvin Payne will officiate and interment will be in Meadows Cemetery in Grantville, with military honors.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Thursday night.
