Howard O. Bailey

MR. HOWARD O. BAILEY, SR. Mr. Howard O. Bailey, Sr., 80, of Luthersville, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at his home. Mr. Bailey was born November 23, 1934, in Kingsport, TN, son of the late Robert Houston (Bob) Bailey and Stella Laura McPeek Bailey. He had lived in Meriwether County since 1976, and retired as a print operator from Shorewood Packaging in LaGrange. Survivors include his daughters, Kattie Laura Holcomb and her husband Michael, Sharon Denise Davis and her husband Joey, all of Luthersville; sons, Howard Eugene Bailey and his wife Traci of LaGrange, Howard Othel Bailey, Jr. and his wife Linda of Carrollton, and James Joe Bailey of Luthersville; sister, Lee Shute of Hampton; brother, Joe Bailey of Kingsport, TN; thirteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Ann Hyatt Bailey. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 26, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Mike Barnes will officiate and interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park at 12:30 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Wednesday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
