Mr. Howard Franklin Dunn, 62, of Hogansville, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.
Mr. Dunn was born August 27, 1957, in LaGrange, son of the late Johnny and Aileen Dunn. A resident of Troup County most of his life, he was employed as an auto-cad operator for Durand-Wayland, Inc. and was a member of Rock of Ages Baptist Church. He was very mechanically talented and had designed, engineered, and constructed a number of large, remoted-controlled, model airplanes and model trains.
Survivors include his wife, Regina McWhorter Dunn of Hogansville; three daughters, Rebecca Lynn Dunn and Katie Purgason of LaGrange, Stacey and Lee Sistrunk of Bastrop, LA, and Carla Lackey of Hogansville; grandchildren, Kaylee Moody, Trinity Moody, Brentley Moody, Codi Oldham, Maci Dycus, Garrett Sistrunk, Kyli Garten, Toree Hammond; great-grandchildren, Blaikli, Sadi, Myah, and Jordin. He was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Caeden.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 28, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Randall Dunlap and Pastor Stan Rogers will officiate and interment will be in the Corinth Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Thursday night.
