Holly Mae Rakestraw

Miss Holly Rakestraw, 33, of Hogansville, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018, at her home. Born December 20, 1984, in Newnan, Holly was a lifelong resident of Coweta and Troup counties. She was a 2004 graduate of East Coweta High School, was a longtime member of Trinity Baptist Church in Newnan, loved to watch wrestling, and was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. She courageously fought brain tumor from the age of nine and never complained. Survivors include her mother, Teresa Rakestraw of Hogansville; father, David Rakestraw of Franklin; brother and sister in-law, Marcus and Lauren Rakestraw of Franklin; and nephews, Dylan, Noah, Payton and Jackson. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 4, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Barney Howard and the Reverend Rick Duncan will officiate and interment will be in the Sargent Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Wednesday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
