Holly Massey Chip

Mrs. Holly Massey Chip, 53, of Grantville, passed away Monday, April 29, 2019. Mrs. Chip was born March 27, 1966, in Columbus, was a 1984 graduate of Harris County High School, and had been an employee of Total System Services. A devout Christian, she had enjoyed pottery lessons and interior decorating and loved planning and hosting events and travel. Survivors include her husband, George Chip of Grantville; daughters, Somer Chip Welch and her husband Rev. Chase Welch of Columbus, and Sadie Chip of Alpharetta; grandson, Elijah Welch; parents, Jack and Glenda Massey of Cataula; sister, Rhonda Moore and her husband Rev. Richard Moore of Hamilton; and brother, Jay Massey of Columbus. A celebration of Holly's life will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 4, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 until 1 Saturday and the family also invites friends and family to gather at their home following the celebration. In lieu of flowers and plants, the family would appreciate memorial contributions to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Foundation, 3395 NE Expressway, Suite 100, Atlanta, GA 30341. Claude A.
