MR. HOKE BRADLEY
Mr. Hoke Bradley, 70, of the St. Marks Community of Meriwether county, died Friday, January 23, 2009, at his home.
The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, January 25, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Jerry McCurdy and the Reverend Melanie Stanley-Soulen officiating.
Born June 18, 1938, in Troup county and raised at the Georgia Baptist Childrens Home in Hapeville, Mr. Bradley was the son of the late Arthur and Macie Bulloch Bradley. He attended the University of Georgia on a football scholarship and lived in Hapeville before making his home in the Hogansville area in 1975. For many years he owned Hapeville Service and Wrecker, and owned and operated Bradley Trucking Co. at the time of his death.
Survivors include his wife, Dee Stanley Bradley of St. Marks; son and daughter in-law, Jeff and Donna Bradley of LaGrange; sister, Virginia Norvell of Marietta; his twin brother, Hoyt Bradley of Houston, TX and his brother, Jimmy Bradley of Athens; four granddaughters, Whitney Bannister, Heather Bradley, Kristen Bradley, and Annie Rose Bradley; one great-grandchild; step-sons, Gerald Stanley and Alan Stanley and his wife, Laurie, all of Atlanta; step-grandchildren, Sheila Phillips and her husband, Joe, Kris Stanley, and Russell Dreyer; and four step-great-grandchildren.
It is the desire of the family that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be made to LaGrange-Troup County Humane Society, P.O. Box 1351, LaGrange, GA 30241.
