Mrs. Hilda Reid Jackson, 68, of Manchester, passed away, Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at her home. Born September 11, 1948 in Hogansville, Mrs. Jackson was the daughter of the late Hill and Pauline Caudle Reid. She was a resident of Manchester since 1973, was a member of Saint James United Methodist Church in Manchester, and loved doing crafts. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Charles Jackson of Manchester; daughter and son in-law, Tonya and Chris Wheelus of Hogansville; sons and daughter in-law, Chuck Jackson of Manchester and Kevin and Amanda Jackson of Shiloh; sisters and brother in-law, Polly Moon of Hogansville and Lynn and Ricky Yarrows of Grantville; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John Henry Reid and Robert Terry Reid. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 7, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Charles Williams will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
