Hilda Veal Carter

Mrs. Hilda Veal Carter, 74, of LaGrange, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2020, at Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center. Mrs. Carter was born May 31, 1946, in Troup County, daughter of the late J.W. and Evelyn Prince Veal. A lifelong resident of Troup County, she was Pentecostal by faith and was employed at Interface for 27 years. She loved music and being with her family and enjoyed watching her family perform at Gospel singings. Survivors include her son and daughter in-law, John and Sherry Carter of LaGrange; grandchildren, Matthew and Kayla Carter, Miracle and Jeffrey Newton, Taylor Carter, Abbi and Tom Ison, Kattie Hanson, Dustin Carter, Austin Carter, Keri and Josh Miller; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Morris Lee Carter; son, Lester Carter; and grandson, Chase Carter. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 29, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Jonathan Bond and the Reverend Tina Deese will officiate and emtombment will be at Restlawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until 3 Tuesday afternoon. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
