MR. HENRY J. STRICKLAND Mr. Henry J. Strickland, 75, of Hogansville, died Saturday, January 25, 2014, at West Georgia Medical Center. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 28, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Rick Witter will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Monday night. Mr. Strickland was born November 30, 1938, in Heard County, son of the late Lonnie and Louise Bolt Strickland. A resident of Hogansville most of his life, he retired in 2002 as a supervisor from West Point Pepperell Dunson Division after forty years of service. He was Baptist by faith, enjoyed gardening, and was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan. Survivors include his daughter, Tina Marie Strickland of LaGrange; son and daughter in-law, Dayrel and Jenny Strickland of Franklin; sister and brother in-law, Wylene and William Herndon of LaGrange; his former wife and mother of his children, Betty L. S. Prescott of Pine Mountain; grandchildren, Andrew Strickland and his wife Mary Beth, Tray Strickland, Allie Tanner, Tyler Tanner, Katy Tanner; and great-grandchildren, Ansley Strickland, Emma Tanner, Madelyn Eady, Caroline Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Randall Strickland; and sisters, Sybil Gaddy, Irene Johnson and Sara Bugg. Claude A.
