MR. HENRY F. REGISTER Mr. Henry Franklin Register, 81, of LaGrange, died Sunday, June 20, 2010, at Twin Fountains Home. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 22, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. Pastor Alex Montgomery will officiate and interment will be in Meadoway Gardens Cemetery in LaGrange. Born June 21, 1928, in Slocomb, AL, Mr. Register was the son of the late Addison and Rachel Peters Register. He had lived in Troup County for 57 years, was a member of the Baptist faith, and retired from the State of Georgia as a heavy equipment operator. Survivors include his wife, Athalan Burch Register of LaGrange; daughter, Virginia R. Merrill, also of LaGrange; sisters and brothers in-law, Jean and Ray Melson of LaGrange, Sybil Burch of Graceville, FL, and Fettie and Billy Wayne Bottom of Headland, AL; brother and sister in-law, Wade and Lillian Register of Rockvale, TN; grandchildren, Allison Merrill of Macon and Michael Merrill of LaGrange; great-grandchildren, Mekenzie, Christopher and Nicholas; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandson, David Scott Merrill. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
