Henry Gregory Plant, 75, of Luthersville, passed away Monday, June 22, 2020, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
Mr. Plant was born July 4, 1944, in Newnan, son of the late Robert Murray Plant and Henrietta Johnson Plant. A resident of Meriwether County most of his life, he was a U.S. Army veteran, was a member of Luthersville United Methodist Church, and was a retired truck driver. He was a licensed pilot for fifty years, owned his own airplane, and was a member of various groups which promoted airplanes, antique cars, Cushman scooters, and motorcycles.
Survivors include his daughter, Nancy Howell of Griffin; grandson, Daniel Howell; brother, Robert Milton Plant of McDonough; and a niece, Gail Aydin of Lone Oak. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister and brother in-law, Jean and Jack Barber; brother, Lewis Travis Plant; and sister in-law, Isabel Plant.
The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 25, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Michael McFarlin will officiate and interment will be in the Luthersville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Wednesday night.
