MRS. HENRIETTA M. BOWMAN Mrs. Henrietta Mooney Bowman, 78, of Hogansville, died Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. The funeral service will be conducted at ¬¬¬¬¬4:00 p.m., Friday, April 12, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Lee Ayers will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 7 Thursday night. Mrs. Bowman was born January 31, 1935, in Hogansville, daughter of the late Robert Henry Mooney and Lavonia Drake Mooney. Before returning to Hogansville in 1997, she lived in Atlanta for 35 years and retired as an administrative executive assistant from Georgia Institute of Technology. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, and enjoyed reading, gardening and traveling. Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Dukes of Newnan; and many nieces, nephews, and friends, including Bertha Miramontes, who she thought of as a daughter, and Lance Giles, who she thought of as a son. She was preceded in death by her son, Arthur Lee Dukes III. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
