MRS. HELON S. KEITH Mrs. Helon S. Keith, 84, of Hogansville, died Thursday, February 3, 2011, at West Georgia Medical Center. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 5, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Clinton Hughes will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 until 2:00 Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Keith was born June 27, 1926, in Irwin, NC, daughter of the late John Whitley Starke and Hattie Jacobs Starke. A graduate of LaGrange High School, she lived in Hogansville most of her life and served a number of years as secretary at Hogansville Elementary School She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hogansville, and was an avid reader who enjoyed her home. Survivors include her daughter, Nellie Odom of Hogansville; son and daughter in-law, Chuck and Harriet Keith of LaGrange; sister, Violet Webb of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Jim Keith of Denver, CO, Heather Gresham of Hogansville, Missy McCollough of LaGrange, and Rachel Perkins of Dalton; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Keith, Jr., and sister, Lorraine Broome. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 12:30 until 2:00 Saturday afternoon, February 5th, at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home Services: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 5th, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home Interment: Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville
