Mrs. Helen Ramsey, 91, of Hogansville, passed away Monday, November 18, 2024 at her home.
Mrs. Ramsey was born April 25, 1933, in Floyd County, daughter of the late Henry and Lois Logan Williams. A resident of Hogansville most of her life, she retired after serving as store manager for Allen's 5 & 10 and Bill's Dollar Store in Hogansville and was a long-time member of Courts of Praise in LaGrange. She loved all her friends and family, especially her children and grandchildren, and is remembered as a special MawMaw. She enjoyed going on vacation and loved to visit the beach, Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Ramsey; daughter and son in-law, Amy and Dwight Murrell; son, Tim Ramsey, all of Hogansville; grandchildren, Brandy and Steven Wright, Chris Murrell, Megan Ramsey; great-grandchildren, Aaron Fincher and Pamela Thompson, Kyleigh and Quenton Kersey, Christy and Jeremy Pike; great-great-grandchildren, Decklin Pike, Amelia Pike, Alden Pike, and Lyla Kersey. She was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Presley Blake Murrell.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, November 21, at the graveside in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville, with Pastor Alex Montgomery and Rodney Ramsey officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Thursday, prior to the service.
