MRS. HAZEL M. MASDON Mrs. Hazel M. Masdon, 81, of Grantville, died Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at her home. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 15, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Tommy McLeroy will officiate and interment will be in the Grantville Cemetery. Born November 28, 1927, in Troup County, Mrs. Masdon was the daughter of the late Albert Dewitt Morris and the late Clara Ophelia Noles Morris. She was a member of Welcome All Baptist Church in Hogansville and retired after being employed at Grantville Mills and Uniroyal, Inc. Survivors include her daughter and son in-law, Carol and Barney Howard; her son and daughter in-law, Gene and Cathy Masdon, all of Grantville; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a half-sister, Linda Wood; and a half-brother, Leon Morris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Masdon, and her daughter, Virginia Boswell. The Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
