Hazel Houston Hosmer

MRS. HAZEL H. HOSMER Mrs. Hazel Houston Hosmer, 75, of Luthersville, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015, at Hospice LaGrange. Mrs. Hosmer was born October 23, 1939, in Newnan, daughter of the late Clarence Sandford Houston and Florence Harris Houston. A resident of Meriwether County for 26 years and a member of the Baptist church, she loved her family dearly and her children were the central part of her life. Survivors include her daughter, Marie Hosmer, and her son, Sandford Hosmer, both of Luthersville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Hosmer. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 7, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Bryan Calhoun and the Reverend Brian Hosmer will officiate and interment will be in the Grantville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Tuesday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
