Harvey Lee (Rocky) Hammett

ROCKY HAMMETT Mr. Harvey Lee (Rocky) Hammett, Jr., 47, of Hogansville, died Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrolton. Born April 28, 1964 in Franklin, Mr. Hammett was the son of Harvey Hammett and the late Brenda Joanne Pike Hammett. He was a carpenter and attended Welcome All Baptist Church. Mr. Hammett lived most of his life in the Hogansville and Franklin area. Survivors include his daughter, Shannon Nicole Hammett and her son Jonathan Shane Blanks of LaGrange; father, Harvey Hammett; brother, Rusty Hammett; sister, Sandra Sims; step-mother, Ruby Morgan and her son Randy Morgan all of Hogansville. The family will host a graveside memorial service at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 19, at Welcome All Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Lynn Janney officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made towards Mr. Hammett's funeral expenses. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home, Hogansville.
