Mr. Harvey M. Darden, 73, of Hogansville, passed away Monday, February 8, 2016, at West Georgia Hospice in LaGrange.
Mr. Darden was born December 2, 1942, in LaGrange, son of the late Edward Madison Darden and Lucile Harvey Darden. A U. S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a graduate of Mercer Southern School of Pharmacy and was a retired pharmacist. He lived in Newnan before returning to make his home in Hogansville in 2001. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Newnan. He enjoyed woodworking and cars and was a member of the Woodworkers Guild of Georgia and the BMW Car Club of America..
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Paula Morgan Darden; son, Paul Madison Darden and his wife, Amanda Nicole Darden; and grandchildren, Kyler, Kynzlie, and Konner, all of Hogansville.
The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 10, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Joanne Kinrade will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 7 Tuesday night.
