Harold Christopher "Bubba" Toney, age 49, of Polk City, Florida, was born February 2, 1971, in LaGrange and passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2020, of injuries received in a traffic accident in Polk City.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Johnson Toney on January 7, 2020; and by his sister, Lisa Toney Townsend on January 8, 2017. Bubba was a former resident Texas, and returned to Georgia before making his home in Florida. He was employed in resort maintenance and previously owned and operated a paint and body shop in LaGrange and a roofing company in Texas and Georgia. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Although he had no children, Christopher had adopted a dog, Shorty Sue as a pup, and a pig, Maxwell, as a piglet and had cared for them as though they were his children.
Survivors include his mother, Ann Toney of Hogansville; sisters, Kim and Will Carty of Purdon, TX, Angela Wood of Hogansville; nieces and nephews, Jessica Carty, Melanie Carty, Holly Carty, Crystal and Raymond Harrington, Michael and Tiffany Ives, Deanna and Tavis Lohden, Jason and Ashley Townsend, Justin and Meghan Townsend, Jamie Townsend, Destiny Erwin; great-nieces; great-nephews; and Destiny Erwin, a young lady he helped raise.
A memorial service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, February 15, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 until 5 Saturday.
