Mr. Harold Todd, 97 of Hogansville, went to be with his Heavenly Father on August 26, 2022.
Born October 26, 1924 in Hogansville, Harold was the son of the late John Henry Todd and Janie Daniel Todd. He lived his life for Jesus Christ since 1964, faithfully serving Highland Baptist Church. As a combat veteran of WWII, he received a Purple Heart on behalf of his country. Harold represented his community on the Hogansville Board of Education and as City Councilman. He owned and operated Todd Grocery for years, followed by 17 years of employment with Uniroyal and then retiring from Interface, Inc.
He is survived by his children, Richard H. Todd and his wife Roxann of Middleburg, FL, Regina. T. Hanner and her husband Richard of Hogansville, Susan T. Kelley and her husband Jimmy of Newnan, GA; granddaughter, Amanda Hanner; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Anna, and Aaron Lawson; great-great-grandchild, Amelia Lawson; and several step grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and five siblings, Mr. Todd was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Eugenia (Jean) Todd.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 30, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. The Reverend Richard H. Todd, Dr. Hope Taylor, and Dr. Richard Hanner will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 7 Monday evening.
