Harold James Samples

Harold James Samples, 55, of Hogansville, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Hospice LaGrange.

Mr. Samples was born November 30, 1969, in East Point, and lived in the West Georgia area for a number of years. A self-employed painter, he loved painting, was known for the quality of his work, and could paint anything. He loved Jimmy Buffett music, enjoyed NASCAR racing, and was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan.

Survivors include his father and step-mother, Rickey and Peggy Samples of Hogansville; sisters and brothers, Tonya Martinez and her son Kaleb Tomer, Butch McMahon, Patricia Eodice, and Terry McMahon; step-sisters, Jessica and Chris Bunn of Franklin and their children Brayleigh Bunn, Jase Bunn, and Natalie Bunn, and Nikki and Stephen Arndt of Hogansville and their children Dawson Foster, Brantley Arndt, and Hunter (Sam) Arndt; and many cousins and extended family. Harold was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy McDonald Moran.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 8, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Randall Dunlap officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Saturday, prior to the service.
