Harold David Estes

Mr. Harold D. Estes, 76, of Hogansville, passed away Monday, April 4, 2016, at Hospice LaGrange. Mr. Estes was born March 29, 1940, in Moreland, son of the late Lamar and Sarah Stone Estes. A veteran of service in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, he lived in Hogansville most of his life, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hogansville, and retired from Wal-Mart Distribution Center in LaGrange. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Louise Estes of Hogansville; sons, David Estes and his wife Angela of LaGrange, Keith Estes and Jon Estes of Hogansville; brother, Larry Estes and his wife Donna of Milledgeville; grandsons, Casey Estes and his wife Mandie, and Dustin Estes; and great-granddaughters, Kayla Estes and Elizabeth Estes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Willard (Jim) Estes; sister, Peggy Gilley; and brother, Ronald Estes. The family will receive friends at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 6. A family memorial service will be held later. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
