Harold B. East

Mr. Harold B. East, 81, of LaGrange, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025, at his home.

Mr. East was born October 31, 1943, in Graham, AL, son of the late Marvin and Vernice Henderson East. A resident of Troup County for more than sixty years, he owned and operated East Used Furniture and Appliances in LaGrange prior to his retirement. He loved watching any kind of sporting event on television.

Survivors include his wife, Jessie East of LaGrange; children, Debra Aldridge (Terry) of Hogansville, Tim East (Anna) of LaGrange, Danny East (Linda) of Centralhatchee, and Dewayne East of Adel; grandchildren, Josh Aldridge (Heather), Terry Lynn Aldridge, Brian Aldridge (Brandy), Leigh Ann Kirkland (Josh); a number of great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Louise Adams of Heflin, AL, and Betty Ruth Melson of Wadley, AL; and brothers, Larry Brantley East of Bowdon, Billy Ray East of LaGrange. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Charles East; grandson, Christopher East; brother, Charlie Lee East; and sister, Nora Ann Akins.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 22, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Terry Rainwater will officiate and interment will be in Meadoway Gardens Cemetery in LaGrange.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, prior to the service.
