Haley Brook Newsom

Haley Brook Newsom, 22, of LaGrange, passed away Monday, July 20, 2020, at Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center. Haley was born July 1, 1998 in Carrollton and lived in Troup County most of her life. She was a 2018 honor graduate of Troup High School. Haley loved spending time with her family and friends, loved going to Panama City Beach, the pool, and the lake. She had a smile that lit up any room she walked in and a laugh no one could ever forget. Her heart was pure and she would lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Survivors include her mother, Michelle Newsom of Hogansville; sister and brother-in-law, Heather and Derrick Collett of Dallas; maternal grandmother, Margaret Bullock of Hogansville; niece and nephew, Saylor and Cason Collett; maternal aunt, Charisse Moore; paternal aunt and uncle, Beth and Clay Bryant; and many cousins whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her father, Seth "Bo" Newsom and her great-aunt, Dillie Woodruff; and, her paternal grandmother, Margie McWaters passed away on Tuesday, July 21. A service to celebrate the life of Haley will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, July 27, at ThreeLife Church in LaGrange, with the Reverend Josh Rhye and the Reverend Andrew Barber officiating. Visitation and viewing will be from 1:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., Monday, at the church. Social distancing will be observed at the church and it is suggested that face masks be worn to protect those attending. Claude A.
