MR. H. D. EASON Mr. H. D. Eason, 82, of LaGrange, died Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Hospice LaGrange . The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 4, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Dr. Michael Reeves will officiate and interment will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens in LaGrange. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 until 9 Thursday night. Mr. Eason was born May 15, 1929, in Troup County, son of the late James Edgar Eason and the late Vera Cook Eason. A veteran of service in the U. S. Air Force, he lived in Cobb County before returning to LaGrange in 1980 and was a retired fire captain from Lockheed Corporation. He was a former bus driver for Troup County Schools and volunteer for the Troup County Fire Department and was Baptist by faith. Survivors include his daughters and son in-law, Sandy and Bill Burke of LaGrange, Terri Freeman of Hogansville; sons and daughter in-law, Eddie and Susan Eason of Atlanta, Dennis Eason of LaGrange; sister, JoAnne Eason Yorgen of Dayton, OH; grandchildren, Mike and LeeAnn Sarno, Jessie and James Hamm, Bobby and Andrea Payne, Kristina Eason, Kimberly Eason, Rodney Law, Jr., Scotty Law, Eli Freeman, Brad Eason, Andrew and Gemini Eason, Ethan and Lauren Eason; and twelve great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jewell Lester Eason. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 7 until 9, Thursday night, May 3rd, at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home Services: 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 4th, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home Interment: Restlawn Memory Gardens in LaGrange
