Grover Ross Moore

Mr. Grover R. Moore, 81, of Hogansville, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at Hospice LaGrange. Mr. Moore was born November 30, 1934, in Atlanta, son of the late Marvin and Bertha Jones Moore. A resident of Hogansville most of his life, he was a veteran of service in the U. S. Army, was Baptist by faith, and retired from Glass Container Corporation in Forest Park. Survivors include his son and daughter in-law, Rodney and Eve Moore of Hogansville; brother, Lamar Moore of Hogansville; sister and brother in-law, Joanne and Jack Fogarty of Griffin; his granddaughter, Alena Grace Moore; nieces, Theresa Bailey and Jackie Fogarty; and a dear friend, Nell Polk. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 2, at the graveside in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville, with military honors. The Reverend David Simmons will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Friday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
