MR. GRADY C. TONEY Mr. Grady C. Toney, 74, of Hogansville, died Saturday, February 8, 2014, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 10, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jerome Wood will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Sunday night. Mr. Toney was born October 11, 1939, in Heard County, son of the late Samuel Ernest Toney and Annie Ruth May Toney. A resident of Hogansville most of his life, he was Baptist by faith, and was a retired insurance agent. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Carol Toney of Hogansville; sons, Grady V. Toney of Franklin, Samuel J. Toney of Luthersville; daughters, Barbara Grice of Centre, AL, Ellen Brewer of Hogansville; sister, Jeanette Teague of LaGrange; brothers, Harold Toney, Quillian Toney, and his twin brother Brady Toney, all of Hogansville; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Sunday night, February 9th, at Claude A.
