Grace Stone Hester

MRS. GRACE S. HESTER Mrs. Grace Stone Hester, 87, of LaGrange, died Monday, May 16, 2011, at Hospice LaGrange. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, May 19, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Ronnie Fuller and the Reverend Randall Frazier will officiate and entombment will be in Shadowlawn Mausoleum in LaGrange. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 until 4 Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Hester was born August 1, 1923, in Shelby County, AL, daughter of the late Reverend W. B. Stone and Lillian Holcomb Stone. A graduate of Lee College in Cleveland, TN, she lived in Troup County most of her life, was Pentecostal by faith, and was a private music teacher for many years. She was the wife of the late Elvis H. Hester, Sr. Survivors include her sons, Rev. A. Wayne Hester and his wife, Jane, of LaGrange, Dr. Elvis H. Hester, Jr. and his wife, Rita, of Stockbridge, and John M. Hester and his wife, Phyllis, of Navarre, FL; sisters, Vaudene Evetts and Judy Baize of Lake Malone, KY, Jackie Morgan of Chicago, IL, Fay Henener of Miami Beach, FL, Jerry Overstraton of Kentucky and Brenda Fuller of Munford, AL; brothers, James Stone of Chaplin, KY. Preston Stone of Talladega, AL, Terrell Stone of Havercock, NC, Kenneth Stone of Eina Beach, HI; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Claude A.
