Grace Laster Cagle

Mrs. Grace Laster Cagle, 89, of New London, Texas, passed away March 3, 2022, in Kilgore, Texas. She was born March 8, 1932 in Heard County, to Willie Thomas and Geneva Bradley Laster. Mrs. Cagle was a resident of East Texas for most of her life, and worked as a nurse at Henderson Hospital for many years. She loved Country music and enjoyed sitting on the porch, drinking her coffee and smoking cigarettes. She was a member of New London Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Geneva Laster; husband, Roy Travis Cagle; brother, Willie Floyd Laster; sisters, Mabel Williamson, Ann Shelnutt, Mary Bruce; and a number of nieces and nephews. Survivors include her son, Everett Thomas Cagle and wife Pam; daughter, Carolyn Gillispie and husband Bobby, all of Texas; brother Ed Laster and his wife Barbara of Snellville; sister, Linda Ayers and her husband Gene of Hogansville; grandchildren, Troy Ray Cagle and wife DeeDee, Justin Slade Cagle and wife Angie, Keith Alan Bledsoe and wife Brittney, April Aileen Jones and Danny Hernandez; eleven great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 19, at the graveside in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville, with the Reverend Terry Rainwater officiating.
