MR. BILL BROWN Mr. Glover Trent "Bill" Brown, Jr., 79, of Hogansville, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at Sonshine Manor in Dahlonega. Mr. Brown was born February 14, 1936, in Pine Mountain, son of the late Glover and Mae Broach Brown. A veteran of service in the U. S. Army, he retired from the security department of BellSouth and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. He lived in Newnan for 30 years before returning to make his home in Hogansville in 1991 and was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church of Hogansville. Survivors include his former wife, Joyce Evans Brown, his son and daughter in-law, Greg and Giselle Brown and granddaughter, Lillian of Atlanta; sister, Barbara Caudill of Rural Hall, NC; sister in-law, Grace Brown of Mobile, AL and nephew and niece Bob and Janice Cole of Newnan, GA. He was preceded in death by his sister Edna Cole of Carrollton, GA, his brother, Neil Brown of Mobile, AL; and second wife, Joycie Beall Brown. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, July 11, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Frank Powers will officiate and interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sonshine Manor, Attn: Amanda Roper (re: in memory of Bill Brown), 634 Crown Mountain Dr., Dahlonega, GA 30533. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., Friday, July 10th, at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home Services: 11:30 p.m., Saturday, July 11th, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home Interment: Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan
