GLORIA JEAN HAMES

Mrs. Gloria Jean Hames, 61 of Hogansville, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025, at her home.

Born December 10, 1963 in Forest Park, Mrs. Hames was the daughter of the late Jack Lemuel Hames and Phyllis Martin Hames. Gloria was a devoted mother, sister, and friend, but above all, she poured her heart into loving her grandchildren. She was known for her laughter, her competitive spirit when playing cards with her family, and her funny personality. A talented person, Gloria had a gift of writing in calligraphy and will always be remembered by her warm smile.

Survivors include her daughter, Michele Farmer (Micheal) of Eastaboga, AL; sisters, Angela Bryson of Hogansville and Kathy Purcell (Christopher) of Eatonton; grandchildren, Rylee Jo Parker and Addilyn Farmer; nephew, Matthew Lemuel Bryson of Hogansville; niece, Christy Edmondson (James) of Eatonton; two loving aunts, Nanette Black of North Georgia and Linda Adams of Helen; and numerous cousins.
