Gloria Pitzer Beamon

MRS. GLORIA P. BEAMON Mrs. Gloria Pitzer Beamon, 83, of Newnan, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015, at Southwest Christian Care Hospice in Union City. Mrs. Beamon was born January 4, 1932, in Pelham, daughter of the late Hancel and Evie Brown Morrison. A former resident of Woodbury and Perry, she was a registered nurse and retired from the Houston County Health Department. She was a member of Heatherwood Baptist Church in Newnan. Survivors include her sons and daughters in-law, Thad and Tina Pitzer of Hogansville, Ken Pitzer of Hartsfield, TN, John and Sabrina Pitzer of Perry; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard Pitzer and William Beamon; and her daughter, Denise Brown. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 23, at Heatherwood Baptist Church in Newnan, with the Reverend Jim Spradlin officiating. Interment will be at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday in Woodlawn Cemetery in Perry. The family will receive friends at Heatherwood Baptist Church from 10 until 11 Wednesday morning. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
