MRS. GLENDA FRIEND
Mrs. Glenda Allen Friend, 67, of Hogansville, died Saturday, January 9, 2010, at her home.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 11, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Ron Daniel will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
Born May 29, 1942, Mrs. Friend lived in Hogansville most of her life and was a member of Highland Baptist Church. She had been employed in the office of the Troup County Clerk of Court, served as secretary to Judge J. C. Jackson, and then served eighteen years as a teacher's aide at the Burwell Center.
Survivors include her husband, Ed Friend, Sr. of Hogansville; daughter, Debra Reynolds, of Hogansville; sons, Ed Friend, Jr. and his wife, Tina, of Manchester, and Michael Friend and his wife, Jamie, of Hogansville; her mother, Mary Allen of Hogansville; brother, Donald Allen of Vinton, VA; and a grandchild, Brayson Allen Friend. She was preceded in death by her father, George Allen; and her brothers, Kenneth Allen and Gene Allen.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
