Mr. Glen L. Hodges, 81, of Luthersville, passed away, Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at Pruitt Healthcare of Greenville.
Mr. Hodges was born July 27, 1935, in Springfield, IL son of the late Earl and Alma Lawson Hodges. A veteran of service in the U.S. Army, he earned a Master's degree from Bradley University and retired as an office manager for Ace Hardware after serving more than 20 years in corporate offices in Chicago, IL and Conyers, GA. While living in Conyers, he was active in the historical society and was very involved in the restoration of the old jail and depot. He had lived in Luthersville for 10 years and was Methodist by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline Hodges of Luthersville; daughter, Bonnie Hodges Fain and her husband Alan of Newnan; son, Steven Glen Hodges of Newborn; step-sons, Johnny Garmon of Springdale, NC; Donnie Foster and Ronnie Foster of Luthersville, Paul Foster of Moreland; sister, Josephine Hodges Huffman of Jupiter, FL; and three grandchildren, Darby Lamb, Stevie Hodges and Cali Fain.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 7, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Greg Morris will officiate and interment will be in the Luthersville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friday.
