Gladys Bowman Walker

MRS. GLADYS B. WALKER Mrs. Gladys Bowman Walker, 77, of Hogansville, passed away Tuesday June 23, 2015, at Midtown Medical Center in Columbus. Born August 7, 1937 in the St. Marks Community of Meriwether County, Mrs. Walker was the daughter of the late Earl and Eddie Lee Wilkins Bowman. She was a lifelong resident of Hogansville and was a member of the Hogansville Church of God. Survivors include her sons, Johnson "Bubba" Walker of Hogansville and Scottie Lee Walker of Greenville; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her husband, Alvie Lee Walker; daughters, Darlene Calhoun and Susie Walker; and her brothers, Melvin Bowman, Curtis Bowman and Pete Bowman. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 26, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. The Reverend Randall Hodge will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Thursday night. Claude A.
