Geraldine M. Markham

Mrs. Geraldine M. Markham, 91, of Luthersville and formerly of Athens, AL, passed away Monday, August 17, 2020, at her home. Mrs. Markham was born September 21, 1928, in Athens, AL, daughter of the late Jack Decker McMeans and Decy Junior McMeans. Before making her home with her daughter in Luthersville in 2015, she lived in Athens most of her life and had been employed as a private caregiver. Survivors include her daughter and son in-law, Sherry and Clifford Jack Thompson of Luthersville; brother, Donald McMeans of Athens, AL; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Weslie "Buddy" Markham. A memorial service is not being planned at this time. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
